  • What can I do myself?

If you have anxiety disorders, you can try to find out if there is a pattern in your ailments. For mild and moderate ailments, you can try to practice your ability to withstand anxiety-triggering situations, places, objects, animals and take advantage of self-administered internet-based cognitive therapy.

For depression, exercise and physical activity are recommended that are moderately effective for mild and moderate depression. Avoid insulation. Maintain a normal circadian rhythm. Avoid alcohol or other drugs. Self-administered internet-based cognitive therapy can have a good effect.

You should see a doctor when the feeling of depression or anxiety is inhibiting you in your daily activities, or has persisted for a long time. You should also see a doctor for symptoms of other mental disorders to get good and timely help.
