Can I get psychological help from Eyr in an emergency?
If you or someone you know is in an acute crisis, we recommend contacting emergency services at 113, the emergency clinic, or your general practitioner. In case of immediate danger, call 113. Eyr’s psychology service is a low-threshold option where you can quickly get help with common challenges and mild to moderate mental health issues. However, the availability of our psychologists should not be mistaken for an emergency or crisis service in serious ongoing situations.
Do you have suicidal thoughts?
When life feels overwhelming, your focus and memory can be affected in a way that makes it hard to imagine things improving. In times of depression or crisis, some people may experience thoughts that life is not worth living. In such moments, it helps to talk to someone outside the situation. Eyr psychologists do not treat individuals with active suicidal thoughts, as such cases require more comprehensive care than we are able to provide within our service framework.
There is good help available elsewhere, whether you are experiencing suicidal thoughts yourself or supporting someone who is struggling. If this applies to you, we strongly encourage you to seek the help you are entitled to.

If you are already receiving treatment through Eyr and experience suicidal thoughts, be open with your therapist. He or she will then be able to refer you to the appropriate care.
