Can I get psychological help at Eyr in an emergency situation?

If you need immediate help, call 112. Eyr's psychological service is an easily accessible service where you can quickly get help with common problems and mild to moderate mental health issues. While our psychologists are more accessible than most, this should not be confused with an emergency service that should be contacted during a serious ongoing crisis.

Do you have thoughts of suicide?

When life feels very heavy, attention and memory can work in ways that make it hard to imagine that things could get better. Some people experiencing depression or crisis may have thoughts that life is not worth living. Talking to others outside of the situation you're in can help. The psychologists at Eyr do not treat what are called actively suicidal patients, as these patients have the right to and need more extensive help than what can be provided within the scope of our treatment. However, there is good help available elsewhere, both if you are having suicidal thoughts or if you are a loved one of someone who is struggling. If any of this applies to you, we strongly encourage you to seek the help you're entitled to.
